CHAPTER PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
It is indeed an honour and privilege to issue this message as the President of ISACA Sri Lanka Professional Chapter for the year 2021.
This year is indeed a very special one for ISACA Sri Lanka chapter as we have just completed the 25th year anniversary of the local chapter and 50th year anniversary of the global chapter. As a professional chapter, ISACA has expanded its scope to define the role of Information System Governance, Security, Audit and Assurance professionals.
Despite the pandemic in the year 2020, ISACA Sri Lanka chapter managed to conduct 30+ events both physically and virtually by providing more than 100+ Continuous Professional Education points to its members by itself and collaborating with joint venture partners, including FITIS. Further, 3 new university student chapters were created making it a total of 4 leading university student groups in Sri Lanka. Another noteworthy accomplishment was to obtain 2 APMG accredited trainers for CISA and CISM certification, which enables the chapter to provide ISACA accredited training programs for capacity building. Several CISA, Cyber Security and CISM training programs were conducted within the year.
I thank the board members of the FITS chapters, the secretariat and other stakeholders for the support extended and wishing the Federation all the very best for future endeavours.
Thank you.
K. M. Prashanthan.
