FITIS Software Chapter
Any body corporate concerned with software development, software related services and associated products specified by the Council of FITIS are eligible to be a member of the Software Chapter.
Objectives of FITIS Software Chapter
- To promote of Software and related Services to achieve the best use of Information Technology and thereby contribute to the Balanced Growth of Sri Lankan economy
- To encourage and promote the earning of foreign exchange by means of export of Sri Lankan Software and associated services and saving of Foreign Exchange by import substitution in identified Vertical Markets and in niche markets in which Sri Lankans have competitive advantages
- To create, foster and promote recognition of the intrinsic intellectual, commercial, economic value of Software amongst the public at large and users in specific.
- To promote and disseminate useful knowledge on Information Technology in general, and the Software Industry in particular, so as to enhance the contribution of these to the growth and development of the Sri Lankan National Economy.
